About
Travel rewards change every day. Most advice doesn't.
PointsSnob is one place to see what changed, why it matters, and what to do next — without the affiliate noise.
Why we exist
Travel rewards never stop moving.
A transfer bonus appears on a Tuesday and is gone by the weekend. An award chart is quietly rewritten overnight. A program loses value without announcing it.
Most travel content cannot keep up. It is published once and begins aging immediately — accurate the day it goes live, misleading a month later.
The knowledge exists. It is scattered across forums, buried a hundred posts deep, written for people who already speak the language.
And too much of the web that claims to help is built to earn a commission first and inform you second.
PointsSnob was built because travelers deserve better than that.
What we believe
Five principles. No exceptions.
01
Changes matter more than opinions.
What actually changed this week is worth more than another ranking of the best cards.
02
Intelligence beats noise.
One clear signal, not a hundred forum posts to sift through.
03
Trust requires transparency.
We label what is confirmed, what is reported, and what is only rumored — so you always know how much weight a call deserves.
04
Every recommendation should lead to action.
If you cannot do something with it, it is not intelligence — it is trivia.
05
Great redemptions come from understanding systems.
Learn how the game works and the sweet spots find you. Hype does the opposite.
The Independence Promise
We do not exist to recommend the card with the highest commission. We exist to explain what changed, why it matters, and what move to make next.
Independence is not a tagline. It is the model: we answer to the traveler reading, and to no one else.
When a program improves, we say so. When it quietly takes value away, we say that too — even when silence would be more profitable. Trust is earned one honest call at a time, and it is the only thing we are unwilling to spend.
Every piece of intelligence is held to one bar
Who is The Snob?
Anonymous, on purpose.
For now, anonymous — deliberately. No name means no sponsorship deals to protect, no status to flex, and no incentive to soften a verdict. Judge us by whether our calls hold up, not by whose face is on the page. We'll introduce ourselves when there's a track record worth signing.
Where we are
Early — and honest about it.
PointsSnob is in beta. Some profiles aren't written yet, some tools are still in development, and some data points may lag reality — when we know something is unverified, we say so. Over the coming months the feed gets faster, the profiles get deeper, and the tools get sharper. If you catch us being wrong, tell us. Being corrected is cheaper than being trusted for the wrong reasons.
There is nothing to buy here — no paywall, no upsell. Only an invitation: follow along, and hold us to the standard above.

PointsSnob went live on July 4, 2026. The independence theme is not a coincidence.
